I am a self taught artist rediscovering my talents. At a young age I was very interested in anything to do with art. I started my college career as an architecture student but veered off into the marketing/business path. I lost touch of what I truly love to do and have recently found it again. I am very inspired by sacred geometry and natural beauty. My media preference is mixed as I am still in the discovery phase of what art has to offer me.

So since my last journal entry I have fully recovered from my surgery. I feel like it took a toll on my creativity and desire to create towards the end of the year. I am starting a new year as a new artist with a fresh outlook. I hope that I can live up to the expectations I have set for myself. I guess we'll have to wait and see what 2014 brings.

So this is my first entry. I recently had acl replacement surgery. I've basically been bed ridden for almost a month so far but have been getting better. Physical therapy is helping but not fast enough. I want to get back to normal so I can focus my thoughts and ideas. I've been trying to stay busy learning the adobe creative suite and trying my hand at the digital side of things. It's not that same though as grabbing a brush and swirling paint onto a canvas. I love the process of creating and mixing colors to get just the right tone I'm looking for. I love layering paint to acquire depth. I miss listening to some classical music and working
